Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker suffered a huge health scare when the former was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Since then, Barker and Kardashian's fans have been very interested in the latter's pregnancy and their family affairs.

Kourtney Kardashian Baby Was Saved By THIS?

In an interview with Vogue, Kourtney Kardashian reflected on discovering the reality of pregnant mothers out there after she discovered that medical insurance only covers two ultrasounds.

"That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn't know about in the past. It was terrifying," she painfully recalled.

Speaking to Vogue, Kourtney confessed that she has been "lucky enough" to do more than what her medical insurance has covered. Turns out - "it's one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby's life."

Kourtney also remembered being "really pressured and pushed into doing IVF" when she was having difficulty in conceiving naturally.

"It went against my intuition, and I didn't feel fully prepared for the mental or physical toll is takes," she recalled, before heading toward the joyful part. "We just got pregnant naturally. It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super-happy, fear sets in, worry, but I remembered then to have gratitude."

However, conceiving naturally wasn't all that easy. Earlier this September 2023, Travis Barker dropped out temporarily of the Blink-182 tour to return to the United States. At the time, it wasn't revealed yet what he was up to.

Turns out, Kourtney had to undergo an important surgery.

In an Instagram post later on, Kourtney Kardashian broke her silence on what really transpired on Barker's emergency trip back home.

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby's life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this," she shared in her post.

Kourtney, who has had "three really easy pregnancies in the past," revealed that she wasn't prepared for "urgent fetal surgery."

"I don't think anyone who hasn't been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear," she said at the time.
