Not long after the separation of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, the pair were embroiled in a legal battle.
With evident tensions between them, speculation grew about who the star would move on with next.
Recently caught in Paris was the "Game of Thrones" star, sharing an intimate moment with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson.
Just before Saturday's Rugby World Final at Stade de France, the alleged couple shared a passionate kiss en route to Paris via Eurostar.
Relationship expert Jo Hemmings suggests that this romantic display might send an essential signal to Joe Jonas.
"The kiss," she says to The Sun, "was a statement."
"She had selected Paris as the backdrop for her latest romance with an affluent and aristocratic man, certain that the entire affair would catch attention."
The expert added, "The speed with which this has developed is no coincidence."
"Sophie wanted to make sure she got her new romance out there, before Joe was seen out with someone else, so it looks more authentic than just doing it to get back at him. This will make her feel empowered."
Jo went on to say the newly single couple's public display of affection was intended to make their message clear: they had nothing to hide.
According to Jo, the two made a point of choosing a very prominent sidewalk on a bustling street in order to present themselves as publicly as possible - it was almost like an announcement to the world that they both had broken off from prior relationships.
Paris provided an incredibly romantic backdrop for their budding relationship. In Jo's words, it demonstrated that this romance was of great importance - what better place to make such a statement than in one of world's most romantic cities?
Enamored by one of the planet's wealthiest and most sought-after bachelors, Sophie is said to be living a life fit for royalty and wants everyone to be aware that her situation has drastically changed.

Kiss Was One-Sided?
Another body language expert, Judi James, said it appears that all the kiss effort is coming solely from Peregrine Pearson's side as the PDA displays look "one-sided."
She told the Daily Mail her observation that not only was Sophie Turner wearing a cap and sunglasses but also that her head was not tilted in a way expected of someone expecting a romantic kiss.
The expert noted that although the woman smiled, it could have been from embarrassment rather than signaling any interest in such an action.
In contrast, Peregrine seemed quite enthused.
According to Judi's observations, he had his feet firmly planted in place and was gripping Sophie's arm with his right hand as he leaned in for the kiss. Most of the initiative was coming from Peregrine himself.
One can observe a notable difference in their embrace. Sophie's left arm is extended as though offering a hug while Peregrine holds her tightly.
According to the expert, it seems that Sophie has not made contact with his hand, making it appear like a farewell ritual where one of them has gone in for a full-mouth mouth kiss.
Had more photos been showing her head tilted and her hand touching him too, then it would likely offer another interpretation; however, from what can be viewed here, only one party is making an effort.
