There's more to Janet Jackson and Britney Spears's relationship than just their shared passion for dancing and singing.

Justin Timberlake has mistreated them both horribly.

In her biography "The Woman in Me," Britney Spears, 41, revealed the specifics of how the artist, 42, "didn't want to be a father," allegedly cheated on her, and then broke up with her via text message shortly after.

After Timberlake tore her costume and revealed her breast on live television during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, Janet, then 57, saw her career completely collapse for several decades.

 

According to a person who spoke to The Mirror, "both felt he had a lot to gain by tearing them both down."

The singer of Toxic detailed in her memoir how Justin appeared to take advantage of their separation on his debut solo album, particularly on the track "Cry Me a River."

 

She was at home in Louisiana, grieving bitterly over their split, when he was painting her as a "harlot," living the high life as America's Golden Boy in Hollywood. 

Janet has reached out to offer her support and encouragement, and Britney and Janet are still bonded by the backlash, the insider stated.

The insider added that Britney Spears felt she was being attacked by the same PR machine that had denigrated her and was appalled by the way Janet was treated during the Super Bowl.

Around that time, they had a number of private conversations that have just resumed.

The source continued that Janet wanted Britney to know that she is here for her because they have a shared experience.

Amidst the criticism Justin is receiving for the insanely successful memoir written by the Circus hitmaker, he, his wife Jessica Biel, 41, and their two sons took a quick trip to Cabo San Lucas.

Additionally, he was compelled to disable comments on his Instagram page. The Bye Bye Bye singer has already apologized in public for his part in Janet and Britney's injuries.

He expressed regret for his previous actions following the publication of the 2021 New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, which described their separation and Spears' subsequent nervous collapse.

The 65-year-old Madonna, who has long supported Britney, unfollowed Justin on Instagram after learning of the circumstances of her relationship with Timberlake.
