Julia Michaels cannot believe that she is now part of the Disney club after they used an unreleased demo she recorded in 2020 as the inspiration and guide for the latest film, "Wish."

"It was such an honor. I grew up watching Disney and listening to Disney," the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter gushed during her interview with Billboard.

"The first time I saw 'Wish' as a movie with all the songs in it, I was like, oh my gosh, this is going to live longer than me.

Disney producers found Michael's unreleased demo track, "This Wish," recorded in 2020, and used it for the film, and even based the entire premise of the film around the song.

"This exists now and there's going to be littles all over the world that are going to feel connected to these songs and they're going to grow up with these songs like I grew up with my Disney songs. Wrapping my head around that has been so deeply surreal," the "Issues" hitmaker added.

According to reports, there was no script prepared for "Wish" when Michaels recorded "This Wish," but it heavily inspired the storyline.

"['This Wish'] defined the whole movie, it became our North Star," said Jennifer Lee, Disney Animation Studio's chief creative officer, revealed.

The entire thing is a dream come true for the singer-songwriter, who grew up watching Disney and adoring the films and soundtracks.

"Little me wouldn't even understand that. I come from a very chaotic, broken family. I didn't come from money. I didn't come from anything," she revealed.
