Music Times brings you up to date with stars that built renown and notoriety during the '90s.
  • Yandel premieres music video for second single 'Hasta Abajo' off upcoming 'De Lider a Leyenda'

    Yandel (formerly of the duo Wisin Y Yandel) just dropped the second single of his solo career for an upcoming album, De Lider a Leyenda. His first single, "Hable de Ti" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Latin charts. The most recent single, "Hasta Abajo," which dropped Oct. 14, is a sexy, upbeat track in which the reggaeton icon sings about what he would like to do with his lady once the sun goes down.
  • Sting and Paul Simon to appear on North American tour together

    Sting and Paul Simon will be stage mates on an upcoming North American tour during which they will perform several of their greatest hits individually and as a duo, according to the New York Times. Eighteen dates have been scheduled so far from Feb. 8 through March 16 with more dates to be announced.
  • Morrissey Autobiography Audiobook to be read by David Morrissey

    Musician Morrissey's "Autobiography" has already topped the book charts and become one of the fastest-selling memoirs of all time, according to the Guardian. Now they are reporting an audiobook will be released as well, read by another Morrissey. English actor David Morrissey is set to be the voice behind the book. You know him from AMC's Walking Dead and movies such as The Other Boleyn Girl.
  • Selena Gomez to perform at Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving football game halftime show

    The Dallas Cowboys can "Come & Get It." Or, at least, they will get Selena Gomez. Yesterday (Nov. 4), it was announced Stars Dance pop star has signed on to perform during halftime at the annual Dallas Cowboys/Oakland Raiders Thanksgiving Day football game this year.
  • Darius Rucker announces 2014 tour dates with The Eli Young Band and David Nails [SCHEDULE]

    Late October and early November have already been rife with announcements regarding country tours and festival announcements, what with Lady Antebellum recently announcing upcoming tours in both Europe and North America, and Taste of Country releasing its lineup as well. The most recent name to announce a headlining tour for 2014 is Darius Rucker.
  • John Coltrane's home to become a museum? Carlos Santana, Cornel West and others levying for funds

    Celebrity musicians and more modest jazz fans are teaming up with hopes to convert John Coltrane's final home into a museum honoring the legendary saxophonist. The home, in Dix Hills on Long Island, was in line for demolition as recently as 2011, was where Coltrane composed A Love Supreme, simply one of the greatest jazz records of all time. He only lived at the residence for three years before dying of cancer at the age of 40.

    Justin Bieber has premiered his latest song "Bad Day," the fifth track in his Music Mondays series. The emotional ballad features Bieber's falsetto crooning over an acoustic melody with a simple beat and spare bass.
  • Download Festival announces Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie as first round of headliners

    The first headliners for next year's Download Festival have been announced: Avenged Sevenfold and Rob Zombie. Download, held every year in Donington Park, England, is one of the largest rock-oriented music festivals in the world (we're talking heavy rock here...not the same scene as the average alt-rock based American festival). It's a three day affair, but A7X and Zombie have been the only acts announced thus far.
  • Marcus Mumford and Justin Timberlake team up on Irish folk song for 'Inside Llewyn Davis' soundtrack

    An unlikely duo, Marcus Mumford and Justin Timberlake have teamed up to perform a traditional Irish folk song "The Auld Triangle" for the upcoming Coen brother's film, Inside Llewyn Davis, due in theatres Dec. 6.
