• 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Reviews Lukewarm

Tomorrow, Feb. 13, "Fifty Shades of Grey" will open in theaters nationwide, and if the plethora of reviews rolling in are any indication, there are going to be a lot of disappointed fans. We already know that in order to snag that R rating the BDSM scenes detailed in the book were going to have to be completely watered down. That means that in order for fans to leave the theater feeling satisfied, the chemistry and connection between Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who portray Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, better be dead on. Unfortunately, according to all the early lukewarm reviews, it is not there.
  • Junk Mail: 'FIfty Shades of Grey' Soundtrack Featuring Beyoncé, Sia, Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd & More

It's our first soundtrack for Junk Mail, and is there any better initiation than Fifty Shades of Grey? I feel like a critical virgin, just waiting for the goddess within to blossom with some major musical whippings. And even though Christian Grey may come at Anastasia Steele hard in this book/movie, the music is really tender and loving. There's also a definite sonic theme. Oh, and Beyonce. The FIfty Shades of Grey OST has Bey.
  • Melanie Griffith Won't See Daughter Dakota Johnson in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Finally, after what seems like an eternity of build-up, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to premiere in theaters this week. You know what that means, right? Tons of press and publicity for Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who star as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation, as if the year or so leading up to it has not had enough already. While women everywhere might be planning to high-tail it to theaters this weekend, there is one person who will not be seeing this film ever. That would be Melanie Griffith, Johnson's mother.
  • Confirmed: There Will Be Two More 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movies!

Fifty Shades of Grey better live up to all of the hype because just yesterday it was announced that two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are officially getting their own film adaptations based on the book series by E.L. James. Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of Fifty announced the news to a bunch of fans that had gathered at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater on Friday morning for a screening that included appearances by Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.

  • Dakota Johnson Says Her 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Character is a Feminist and Jamie Dornan Was Very Protective

Needless to say, both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are doing loads of interviews to promote the film. They are also both covering the March 2015 issue of Glamour and the interview that accompanies it is pretty revealing.
  • John Oliver Auditions for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' in Web Exclusive [WATCH]

John Oliver is angry. The "Last Week Tonight" host started a hashtag after Jamie Dornan was announced as the male lead in the hotly anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," saying the actor "has all of the charisma of a sandwich bag filled with iceberg lettuce." The hashtag #NotMyChristian took off and now Oliver is back in a Web exclusive to hilariously audition for the part, despite the movie being completed.
  • Ellie Goulding Shares 'Love Me Like You Do' Music Vid from 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Soundtrack [WATCH]

Hot on the heels of yesterday, Jan. 21's video release for The Weeknd's "Earned It," Ellie Goulding has unveiled the visuals to her song for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack "Love Me Like You Do." The Max Martin-produced single is another strong effort from the "Outside" singer, as Goulding channels the themes of sex and lust within the film to create an upbeat, sensual pop tune with a bombastic chorus as Ellie Goulding croons, "Love me like you do / Touch me like you do / What are you waiting for."
  • The Weeknd Shares 'Earned It' Vid for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' [WATCH]

The Weeknd has unveiled the NSFW music video for his contribution to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack: "Earned It." The video finds The Weeknd — real name Abel Tesfaye — in an auditorium with nearly naked women dancing around in front of him, including film star Dakota Johnson, who is tied up in some sort of contraption. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the clip is probably tame for what is to come in the film, but still hints at the class that the song possesses, as the OVO boss croons: "Cause girl you're perfect / You're always worth it / And you deserve it / The way you work it / Cause girl you earned it / Girl you earned it."
  • Jamie Dornan Isn't Sure What to Expect Once 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Hits Theaters

Jamie Dornan might be on the verge of something really huge, and he is the first to admit that even he does not know what to expect once "Fifty Shades of Grey" finally premieres in theaters. The actor is covering the latest issue of "Variety" and discloses a bunch of interesting little nuggets for fans. Like the fact that he actually met with Robert Pattinson to discuss what it is like to star in what could become a huge franchise. Dornan said the two ended up getting drunk together and bonded that way.
  • Dakota Johnson Commemorating Role in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' by Covering 'Vogue'

Since the hotly anticipated "Fifty Shades of Grey" is getting ready to roll into theaters Feb. 13, we can expect to see its stars — Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson — everywhere to promote it. Apparently a lot of faith is being put behind Johnson that she will morph into a real "it" girl just like Kristen Stewart did after "Twilight" first dropped. That hopeful notion is probably the main reason why Johnson has been chosen to cover the February issue of "Vogue."
  • Watchdog Morality in Media Criticizing 'Fifty Shades of Grey's' R Rating

While most people seem to be questioning whether or not there is going to be enough sexual content in "Fifty Shades of Grey" to make it feel like the book has come to life onscreen, there is a watchdog group taking direct aim at the film and its R rating. Morality in Media is concerned that the MPAA giving this flick an R rating due to "unusual behavior" is not an accurate enough description to inform patrons of the actual content. It is kind of hard to imagine that there is an adult out there who has not heard of "Fifty Shades of Grey" after a few years of major discussion in the press, isn't it? Well, Morality in Media has issued a statement requesting that the MPAA change its explanation of the R rating that the film has received. "What the term 'unusual' does not account for is the coercion, sexual violence, female inequality and BDSM themes from which the entire 'Fifty Shades' plot is based. Such a vague evaluation puts viewers at risk, sending the message that humiliation is pleasurable and that torture should be sexually gratifying. We'd like to change the MPAA rating for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' to read: 'Promotes torture as sexually gratifying, graphic nudity, encourages stalking and abuse of power, promotes female inequality, glamorizes and legitimizes violence against women,'" says the watchdog group.
  • New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Trailer Released After Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson Had No Chemistry at Golden Globes

In about a month, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is finally going to premiere in theaters nationwide and then, after years of speculation, we will finally all know whether or not this movie actually works. There has been so much chatter about every aspect of it — from the casting to whether or not it can possibly live up to the book with an R rating — that the bar has been set extremely high. Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele will really have their work cut out for them. Both actors were on hand to present an award at the Golden Globes last night, Jan. 11. It was a chance to put Dornan and Johnson together in the same place at the same time, to build up a bit of anticipation for the film. If there time together onstage was any indication of how they relate to one another, "Fifty Shades of Grey" might be the most awkward thing to hit theaters this year. Of course, nerves may have been a factor in their presentation, but after hearing that chemistry had been an issue during filming, well, last night it kind of felt like that might be true, and without chemistry this film is going nowhere.
