  • HAIM Plays With Kesha, Jenny Lewis, Ed Droste, Rostam Batmanglij

    To commemorate the life of a late friend, Sammi Kane Kraft, Haim generated Sam Jam, a benefit concert in which all proceeds were given to the Our House Grief Support Center. Friends and family of the four-piece band joined them on stage to show support, such as Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Jenny Lewis. The Troubadour in Los Angeles hosted the charity concert for the close companion of Haim, who was tragically killed at just 20 years old by a drunk driver in 2012. Kraft's impressive baseball talents once landed her a role in the film 'Bad News Bears.' Lewis, known for her participation in Rilo Kiley and The Postal Service, perfomed her newest song titled "Girl on Girl." With the assisted talents of Haim, the collaboraion gained heavy participation, chanting and clapping from the crowd along to the beat.

    Last summer HAIM performed a free concert hosted by Levi's at New York's Brooklyn Bridge Park to kick of their Live in Levi's campaign. Now the three sisters continue their previously established relationship with the brand in a new commercial. The trio reminisce about their childhood and growing up wearing Levi jeans while they go shopping for vintage clothes. Unfortunately, however, the song playing in the background is licensed from another artist and isn't a new song from the band.
  • HAIM, M83 Release 'Insurgent' Soundtrack Song 'Holes in the Sky' [LISTEN]

    Though the movie adaptation of Insurgent is due to be released later this month, the official soundtrack isn't due out until September. Despite the delayed release schedule, today (March 2), fans of the movie/book series, M83 and HAIM were in for a treat. The first taste of the soundtrack dropped today, teaming up the two indie rock groups in with "Holes in the Sky."

    Taylor Swift made the full switch from country to pop in 2014, and now the "1989" singer is adding a bit of rock 'n' roll to her résumé. The Nashville superstar just announced the addition of rockers HAIM to her forthcoming world tour as her opener.

    Last June, sister trio Haim promised their new album would be ready "very soon" and confirmed that they had intended to start recording in July. In November, Alana Haim uploaded a photo of Danielle Haim on guitar with the caption "S S Studio." Now a new photo has surfaced, confirming that the band is recording with producer Ariel Rechtshaid. Este Haim posted the photo, which features Rechtshaid hard at work on a computer with a poster of David Bowie in the background. "Here we go again everybody," she wrote in the caption. "Uh ohz." Looks like new music is officially underway.

    Justin Timberlake took over Brooklyn last night, Dec. 14, for a huge concert at the Barclays Center. Collaborator and rap great Jay-Z joined the singer onstage to perform his 2013 hit "Holy Grail." Taylor Swift and Beyoncé were hanging out in the crowd and, during the performance, the two were spotted singing and dancing together, MTV News notes. The concert capped off a special weekend for Swift, who celebrated her 25th birthday with a slew of famous artists. Jay and Timberlake worked together on "Magna Carta Holy Grail" and The 20/20 Experience last year before taking their musical friendship on the road for all to see. Hova decided to give Timberlake the royal treatment while he was in New York, too. Check out the live collaboration below:

    Bastille's upcoming mixtape VS. (Other People's Heartache, Pt. III) is set for release on Dec. 8, but yesterday, Nov. 27, the British quartet shared one of the album's tracks "Bite Down," featuring L.A. trio Haim, which you can check out below. The track is a slick electro-rock hybrid with some pretty inventive production choices and an upbeat, harmonically rich chorus.

If this is any indication as to what Kanye’s next album sounds like, he’s got another masterpiece on his hands.
