Alien: Covenant, previously Alien: Paradise Lost and also referred to as Prometheus 2, has found its new female lead in actress Katherine Waterston. Known for her recent performances in Inherent Vice and Steve Jobs, as well as her upcoming role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Waterston is set to join a franchise known for its powerful leading ladies, including Noomi Rapace and Charlize Theron from 2012's Prometheus and, of course, Sigourney Weaver from the Alien movies. Filmmaker Ridley Scott returns as writer, director and producer with Prometheus star Michael Fassbender also returning to reprise his role as David.
