Katy Perry, who has hosted the event and already raked in four awards is leading the pack this time around. She has scored 7 nominations in nearly every top category- best females, best pop, best U.S. act and best live- for "Dark Horse" featuring Juicy J. Hot on Perry's heels is Ariana Grande who really broke through this year. Her six nods include top categories like best new, best pop and best female.
