• Garth Brooks Stops Concert to Serenade Fan with Cancer [WATCH]

Midway through his 1990 hit "The Dance" in Minneapolis Friday, Nov. 7, Garth Brooks noticed a sign. Terry Shaw, a fan and cancer patient, was holding a sign for the country star to see: "Chemo this morning, Garth tonight, enjoying 'The Dance.'" Brooks wasn't going to let it end there. Shaw, as KARE-11 points out, was ushered to the front of the stage where her sign was picked up on the Target Center projectors. Brooks then walked over to the fan, who has been battling Stage 3 breast cancer since June, and serenaded her sweetly. The singer then gave Shaw his guitar and kissed her on the head. Before the end of the song, Brooks commented on the sign in a truly powerful moment — see below. "God just stuck his hand out and wrote this," he said about the sign. "You have all my strength, you have everybody's strength in here and you go kick cancer's ass!"
