Tiesto Given Edison Pop Music Award -- Joining David Bowie, U2 & Others
Dutch dance music legend Tiësto was just given one of the highest awards a musician can be awarded in Holland. With Martin Garrix along to present, the "Wasted" DJ was given the Edison Pop Oeuvre Lifetime Achievement Award on RTL Late Night, a talk show program in Holland. First awarded in 1960, the annual Dutch prize is one of the oldest music prizes in the world and has named artists like U2, David Bowie, The Beach Boys, Quincy Jones and Stevie Wonder as some of its recipients. -

This year Belgian DJs Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike jumped three spots from four to one to the claim the title as the No. 1 DJ in the world. The "Hum" duo ousting two-time defending champion Hardwell, who slides in at number two. Martin Garrix, thought by many to be the favorite for the number one spot, is voted number three ahead of Armin van Buuren and Tiësto at four and five respectively. -

First premiered by the "Wasted" DJ on the Tomorrowland mainstage in July with Diablo coming out as a guest, the tune has been a steady highlight in both DJ's sets over the past few months. In addition to that, Schipper has been teasing the news for some time, but in a recent interview he officially announced that he is working on a new artist album. -
Deadmau5, Tiesto, Diplo Headline Freaknight 2015 Lineup In Seattle
One of Seattle largest electronic music festivals, Freaknight, has announced the main headliners who will perform at the 2015 edition. The lineup is led by Deadmau5 and Tiësto, with additional contributions by Nero, Diplo, Adventure Club, Carnage and Nicky Romero. Pete Tong will curate his own underground All Gone Pete Tong stage that has started to take over the United States festival circuit. -
