Gigi Hadid wished Taylor Swift a happy birthday on social media, albeit a couple of days late. To make up for it, she shared two new selfies featuring the longtime best friends.

"A belated wish to an incredible friend, a brilliant mind, a huge heart : HAPPIEST BIRTH[week] my T @taylorswift," Hadid posted on her Instagram profile. "You know I love you beyond. You make me so proud!"

While forgetting to greet your best friend on her birthday is one of the cardinal sins of friendship, we can't really blame Hadid. After all, she's had a pretty busy week. Between debuting her armpit hair as part of Love magazine's annual event calendar and attending the Reebok holiday party, the popular supermodel do not have plenty of time to spare.

Yet Hadid was able to post the aforementioned photos, one of which, a mirror selfie, features the two ladies entwined in an embrace, and the other with them simply having a best friends moment, with Hadid, eyes closed, hugging Taylor as the Grammy-winning "Look What You Made Me Do" singer takes their selfie.

Hadid played Slay-Z in Swift's "Bad Blood" music video, which featured friends and artists who are all part of the singer's squad, including Karlie Kloss, Zendaya, Lena Dunham, Kendrick Lamar, and many others.

Swift got candid about her relationship with Hadid several months ago as part of a Harper's Bazaar story, for which Hadid was the cover.

"As a friend, Gigi is one of the first people I go to for advice. She has this incredible ability to see all sides of a situation and simplify it for you," Swift said, adding that her best friend doesn't possess the classic diva traits expected from a supermodel of Hadid's caliber. "Gigi's number one rule is to treat people the way she'd want to be treated. She's on time (or early) to work, says hello to everyone on set, asks them how they are and actually listens to their response."

Other people who greeted Swift include longtime best friend Selena Gomez, who on Thursday, Dec. 14, wrote a very heartfelt birthday message for the singer.

"I'm glad you were born. You write all the thoughts some aren't able to articulate. (ME!) Thank you for giving a voice to this world that is authentic and inspiring."

Happy birthday, Tay-Tay!
