    The 2016 Grammy Awards took place on Monday (Feb. 15) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. It was a night honoring artists for their body of work, as well as, their overall impact in the music industry. They might have taken home an award for gracing listeners with great tunes, but this list highlights the winners of the red carpet, including appearances from Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, A$AP Rocky, and more.

    Lady Gaga performed her highly anticipated tribute to the late, great music icon David Bowie at the 2016 Grammys on Monday, Feb. 15, which resulted in a standing ovation from the crowd attending the ceremony. Unfortunately for Gaga, one important viewer didn't seem to enjoy the performance. Filmmaker Duncan Jones, Bowie's son, took to Twitter to voice his distaste for the tribute, which was actually a popular opinion of many sharing thoughts on the social media website last night. And, you guessed it right, they performed it as Panic! at the Sisqo.

    The Grammys primetime telecast is less of an award ceremony and more of a three-and-a-halk hour long concert. On Monday night (Feb. 15), there were 20 performances and just a handful of trophies given out. While some of the artists on music's biggest night shined bright and brought true artistry to the Grammys (Kendrick Lamar, Chris Stapleton, Alabama Shakes), other performers were less about the music and more about shameless self-promotion of sexist special guests (Hollywood Vampires, Pitbull).

One reason for the one of the of the delays was Chance The Rapper still had some work to do at the 11th hour on his soulful collaboration "Ultralight Beam." He has taken to crowd-sourcing lyric website Genius to annotate the song and give some extra meaning to his own lyrics.
