    It's Monday morning now, and Governors Ball 2015 has finally come to an end. Over the weekend of June 5, countless rock, EDM and rap acts took to the stage at New York's City's Randall's Island to play for crowds of adoring fans. But, with the best of the fest which ranges from free chips to Florence + The Machine to SBTRKT, we also got sound issues, long lines for burgers and big ol' mud pits.   • 50 Cent Claims G-Unit Was Roughed Up by Security at Summer Jam

    There was obviously some trouble with security at Summer Jam over the weekend, as fans without tickets started a miniature riot and got the New Jersey police to fire tear gas canisters into the fracas. Although it seems as if law enforcement was in the right for that case, rapper 50 Cent alleged that security inside the stadium was a little rough with himself and his G-Unit crew prior to them appearing with Chris Brown onstage.
  • Thom Yorke Announces Tokyo Show Supporting 'Tomorrow's Modern Boxes'...Tour Coming?

    Thom Yorke continued his experimentation with ways to release music last year with Tomorrow's Modern Boxes and now the Radiohead frontman has finally announced his first show is support of the album. The declaration actually came from longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich, and declared that Yorke would be appearing as part of the Summersonic Festival in Tokyo on August 15.
  • Ice Cube Announces N.W.A. Reunion at BET Experience Concert in L.A.

    Ice Cube announced the biggest hip-hop news of the summer as N.W.A. will apparently reunite in some form for the BET Experience show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on June 27. It doesn't seem, based on Cube's commentary, that Dr. Dre will not be involved however MC Ren and DJ Yella will take part, as well as special appearances from Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q.
  • Metallica Shred a Heavy Rendition of the National Anthem at X Games [WATCH]

    James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica stopped b the X Games in Austin Texas on Saturday to perform a heavy take on "The Star-Spangeled Banner." Hammett took the lead during the instrumental rendition of the national anthem while Hetfield fulfilled his supporting role with power chords and harmonies.
  • Police Use Tear Gas on Rioters at Summer Jam After Tickets Sell Out

    Summer Jam has continued to increase its reputation as one of the biggest events in hip-hop, and unfortunately that popularity led to police being called in to quell minor rioting at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey this weekend. Kendrick Lamar, Chris Brown and Big Sean were among the big names on the lineup, which attracted a sellout crowd...which left those without a ticket in a bad mood.

    Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher and The Who's Roger Daltrey are apparently forming a supergroup for a television performance this week, according to reports from British publications. TFI Friday, an entertainment show broadcast in the UK during the late '90s, is coming back for a one-off reunion episode and has booked a number of big musical guests, not the least of which is the unnamed collaboration of the vocalists for two of the biggest bands in British history.
  • 'Fun Home' and 'The King and I' Win Big, Josh Groban Performs at Tony Awards

    'Fun Home,' 'The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night Time' and 'The King and I' were among the big winners at last night's Tony Awards, taking home prizes for the best theatre in New York. The first of those plays, which won the night's "big" big award for Best Musical, was the first in the history of the show to win that prize and be written entirely by women. Jeanine Tesori and Lisa Kron wrote the hit, which focuses on a daughter and an in-the-closet father dealing with their homosexuality, also focusing on the funeral home they run.

    When Dave Grohl was fourteen, he penned a letter to Minor Threat's Ian MacKaye in hopes of receiving a hook-up to Dischord Records. Giving back to his fans who hold the Foo Fighters front man to the same esteem in which he held MacKaye, Grohl brought one fan and his impeccable painting onto the stage during the 02 World Foo Fighters set in Hamburg.
