• U.S. Senator John McCain Weighs In on Chuck Hagel's Resignation from President Obama's Cabinet

When U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced his resignation earlier today, it seemed that few Washington insiders were surprised. He reportedly had been dissatisfied with his job heading up the Pentagon and admitted that this decision was a mutual one made after only two years on the job. It had originally been Hagel's job to help guide our troops home after a 13-year war and to help our military to make as smooth a transition as possible. Hagel did accomplish that, but he seemed to see little hope of being able to do much else under the current administration.President Barack Obama has readily admitted that change is necessary and feels that putting a new person into the official role of Defense secretary might be a good move.U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., spoke earlier today about Hagel's frustration and how that did not mean he was no longer invested in his job, but instead felt that his options for action were extremely limited:
  • Eminem Gets His Own Ice Cream Flavor in Conjunction with New Album 'SHADY XV'

Eminem has reached a new high in his career. No, it's not another multi-platinum album or No. 1 single... it's an honor of a different sort. Today (Nov. 24), it was announced that the "Guts Over Fear" rapper has gotten his own celebrity ice cream flavor. And, no, it doesn't include any M&Ms (unfortunately).
  • Joe Satriani Wants to Make More Chickenfoot Albums; Other Members Don't Seem to Care

Chickenfoot is perhaps the most impressive supergroup still technically "active," but they have not put out any new material in more than three years.Guitarist Joe Satriani wants to change that and says he has been trying to get Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith and Michael Anthony back on the saddle."I'm always that guy that's bugging them," he told VH1, via Blabbermouth. "I think I drive them crazy because I'm always writing songs, I'm sending them demos and saying, 'C'mon, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do it.'"There is a big roadblock, though."First of all, Sam, Mike and Chad, they've got other things to do. And Chad, of course, is right in the middle of an album project with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so that's a difficult thing; that's his main band," Satriani said. "And Sam and Mike are now part of Sammy's band [The Circle], and they have a schedule. And then Sammy, along with all of his businesses, both for profit and for charity, is also extremely busy."So I come back from being around the world and touring and doing this stuff, and I'm, like, 'C'mon, let's go. Let's go.' And they're, like, 'Well, hold on a minute.' And then I'm off again. So I guess I'm partly to blame because of my busy schedule."

  • Jamie Horowitz Proposed a Plan to Totally Clean House at NBC's 'Today' Before Being Ousted Last Week

The internal politics and constant discord behind the scenes at NBC's "Today" have become almost as big of a story as anything reported on camera. NBC has spent the last two years scrambling to try and reclaim its former top spot in the morning ratings war. In September, Jamie Horowitz started to observe Today's daily show so that by December new changes could be implemented at his request. A few weeks ago, he gave a five-hour presentation to NBC News head Deborah Furness, and in the end Horowitz was out of a job instead of anyone else.News leaked out recently that Natalie Morales and Willie Geist had been fired by NBC, and while those reports were later discredited, that is exactly part of what Horowitz had in mind. He also wanted Matt Lauer's co-host, Savannah Guthrie, let go to make room for Hoda Kotb instead, and if you are a fan of Al Roker, then you would have been out of luck because Horowitz would have fired him as well.

  • J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League Defend Bill Cosby in Series of Tweets

It seems like every day a new sexual allegation arises against Bill Cosby. He lost his potential Netflix special and NBC decided to drop his new series. There are few people in his corner and understandably so when multiple women are accusing Cosby of rape. It appears he just got the production trio J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League on his side in a series of now-deleted tweets that, among many things, said: Cosby was one of the "top 10 black people" in earth's history.Continuing that train of thought, someone on the account claims "He gets a pass" and one of Cosby's alleged victims Janice Dickinson, via "CBS News," "isn't even top 10 in any category."The production trio reminds Twitter that Cosby has not been convicted yet and he has only been ostracized in the court of public opinion:"Might I remind you, there's never been a conviction of Bill Cosby. Only a Twitter conviction"Making sure to have their moral bases covered when defending an alleged rapist, the trio distanced themselves from the act itself: "We don't condone rape, but we also don't condone accusing an innocent American of rape with no conviction."
