    As previously reported, Johnny Cash is set to drop his long-lost album Out Among The Stars on March 25. The single "She Used To Love Me A lot" dropped back in January, and now a music video has been released for the cut, directed by filmmaker John Hillcoat (Nick Cave, Depeche Mode). It shows a gritty American landscape and was filmed during a month-long journey across the country.

    HBO is building up its star-studded cast for a currently untitled series about the music industry in 1970s New York City. The drama is being created by Boardwalk Empire's Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter and the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger. Now, actress Olivia Wilde has signed on as one of the main roles opposite Bobby Cannavale.

    Will they or won't they? First, it seemed like U2 were gearing up to release a new album in 2014 with a new single, award show nominations and talk show appearances. Then, Billboard reported that the album had been delayed until 2015. Now, a representative for U2 has fired back, saying that the prolific rockers WILL drop a new LP this year.

    Juanes stopped by the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform the single "La Luz" off his latest album, Loco de Amor. As previously reported in our feature story about his work with producer Steve Lillywhite, the album was recorded with acoustic guitars, and Juanes seemed to stick with that approach for his live show as well.

    Jackie Chan is a man of many talents, and now he's aiming to add successful music manager to that list. The Chinese acting legend is taking a DIY approach to assembling a K-Pop band by the name of JJCC. Chan was involved in recruiting the group's members, and is reportedly training them as well as handling typical managerial duties.
  • Neil Young's PonoPlayer Kickstarter campaign meets goal within 24 hours

    Young began taking preorders for PonoPlayers via Kickstarter on Tuesday, and it seems that there's certainly enough interested parties to at least get the company off the ground. The rate at which the devices sold suggest there's more than enough interest. Young and PonoMusic set a deadline at April 15 to raise the goal amount of $800,000, but they managed to get it all within 24-hours of its unveiling at SXSW.
