    Tonight, two radio stations are hosting star-studded concerts to celebrate the holidays. San Francisco Bay Area alt-rock station Live 105 returns for night two of its Not So Silent Night gala and Los Angeles' KROQ launches night one of its Almost Acoustic Christmas.
  • Dolly Parton announces 2014 Blue Smoke World Tour dates [SCHEDULE]

    Dolly Parton will hit the road in the U.S. for a 2014 "Blue Smoke World Tour" over two different stretches, according to Billboard. Last October, the country singer announced tour dates in Australia for February has confirmed a string of shows in January and again in May in the U.S. The 11-day trek spans seven states in the southeast and southwest.
  • Donald Glover writes 72-page screenplay inspired by Childish Gambino's 'Because The Internet'

    Donald Glover, a.k.a. Childish Gambino, is known for his writing on shows such as Community and 30 Rock. Now he shows off his screenplay writing as Childish Gambino with a script inspired by his upcoming album, Because The Internet. Leading up to the its release, he talked about "imaginative rollouts" for the album. Maybe this is one of them.

Today (Dec. 6), Cyrus has announced her third Bangerz single. So, what is going to be the junior release? The answer is album opener "Adore You."
  • NPR's Alt.Latino ranks the best Alternative Latin songs of 2013

    Jasmine Garsd and Felix Contreras of NPR's Alt.Latino music blog have released their list of the best Latin alternative music and artists to come out this year. With Garsd stationed in Mexico City and Contreras posted up in Washington D.C. they scoured Latin America for music and spoke with journalists and authors about issues effecting the Latino community.

    Kanye West has a lot going on in his life right now with a new baby, an upcoming wedding and all of the other things that come with being a hip hop mogul who has a lot of opinions. He always has a lot of projects brewing at any given time, not always related to music (i.e. his cameo in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues out Dec. 18). But on Juan Epstein's podcast, hosted by Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds, the artist speaks about his roots in rap.
  • NBC's 'The Sound of Music' probably won't make its money back...initially

    NBC obviously put a lot of work into promoting the new live performance of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood in the role of Maria Von Trapp, the role filled by Julie Andrews during the original film. The promotion campaign seemed to have paid off, as the broadcast brought in a huge viewership. But that doesn't mean the network made its money back. The Hollywood Reporter got numbers from analysts putting the production's budget at around $9 million.

    Childish Gambino has released his second music video from the upcoming Because The Internet. Earlier this morning we saw him head to the beach with Chance the Rapper for "The Worst Guys." Now he has released the video for the single "3005."
  • NBC 'The Sound of Music' receives huge ratings for NBC, so-so reviews and total Twitter backlash

    NBC hedged a huge bet when they decided to air a three-hour live production of "The Sound of Music" on Thursday night (Dec. 5), and though reviews of the program have come out as mixed, at best, the viewers were certainly alive for the "Sound of Music."
