Last weekend, Dua Lipa attended and performed at the 2024 Grammy Awards where she was praised and applauded for the improvement of her dancing skills and stage presence. Now that a new era has begun for the musician, she gave details about her upcoming album and revealed that she wrote lots of songs for it.

According to Billboard, the pop star became the opening performance at the Grammys where she performed two new singles titled "Training Season" and "Houdini" that are both part of her new album.

Fast forward to a few days later, the singer dropped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to share more details about her forthcoming LP and she revealed that the two tracks mentioned above were just among the almost a hundred tracks that she wrote for her next project.

"It's got every single song I wrote for this album... I wrote 97 songs," she said.

Later on, Jimmy Kimmel asked the British musician if are there any terrible tracks out of the 97 songs she wrote, in which she admitted: "yes, lots, about like 80 of them."

Lipa further shared more details about her music composition process, saying that the second she started writing a song, she will immediately know if it's good or not.

Regarding on what to expect from her new LP, Lip said: "Every song on this album unlike any of the other records I've made, I've gone in and I've re-written it over and over again, until I felt like it was perfect, which I didn't really have the confidence to do on my previous records."

Dua Lipa Is More Confident in Her New Era

Dua Lipa told Jimmy Kimmel that this time around, she's more confident in herself as a songwriter and a performer because she's in control of what things should sound and look.

As of this writing, details behind Lipa's new album, including the title itself and the tracklist, have yet to be revealed. Lipa has not announced when her next project is coming out.

"Because I want to keep it a secret for a little bit longer... I can't reveal my secrets," she told the late night host.
