All eyes are on this year's Super Bowl Halftime show headliner, R&B icon, Usher, who is slated to take the Super Bowl LVIII stage for 13 minutes and make his mark in the music and sports industries.

"It's an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can't wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they've seen from me before," said the singer after he was announced as the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime show headliner in September 2023.

Usher also performed the following tracks: "U Don't Have To Call is next," "Superstar," and "Love in this Club."The singer's second special guest is H.E.R., who had joined Usher onstage showing off her guitar prowess with a solo. 

 

Despite numerous speculations, Justin Bieber did not perform alongside Usher, however, he was at the Super Bowl to support his pal and collaborator.

The rest of the setlis included "Let It Burn," "8701," the slowed down version of "U Got It Bad" with a guitar solo from H.E.R., and 'Nice and Slow."

Usher began his highly anticipated Super Bowl LVIII Halftime show with 2004's  "Caught Up," wearing an all-white ensemble along with a bejeweled cape.


The R&B icon brought  Alicia Keys onstage for a short duet of their 2004 hit "My Boo.  

 

 

The Super Bowl Halftime show is one of the most highly anticipated performances every year, as it grants the headliner not only full reign over some time during the most-streamed and tuned-in football game of the season, it also allows them to show off their craft and artistry.

"You know, everybody says they want to win a Grammy, or they want to win an Oscar, or a Tony, or an Emmy. A Super Bowl is something that everybody wants to play," Usher continued. "And here it is. It happened."

This year's Super Bowl will be broadcast live on CBS, capturing every second of the three-hour-long game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers from Las Vegas.

Usher Bringing 2000s R&B Nostalgia to Super Bowl LVIII

Usher rose to prominence in the early 2000s, releasing hits like "Yeah!" featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris, "OMG," "You Make Me Wanna...," "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" featuring Pitbull, "Scream," "Moving Mountains," and more.

As of this writing, the R&B icon is yet to announce who will be sharing his Super Bowl Halftime show stage later at 8 p.m. ET tonight, but fans have been speculating that he might bring Justin Bieber or even Nicki Minaj along onstage with him, The Independent reports.

Before Usher took the NFL stage, he was preceded by several music icons and legends like Rihanna, who headlined the Super Bowl LVII Halftime show last year solo, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, and one of the most -watched halftime show performers, Katy Perry.

Usher Bags 15 Minutes at Super Bowl LVIII

Other performers are only allotted 13 minutes, but according to reports, the 45-year-old singer managed to snag 15 minutes.

"I can't explain why, but it's a funny thing that I was able to do and craft," Usher explained. "That was a huge strategic thing that happened between me and my agency."

While Usher's special guests are yet to be announced, the pre-game artists are already gearing up for their big moment at the Super Bowl stage: Post Malone with "America the Beautiful," Reba McEntire with the national anthem, and Day with "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
