Ed Sheeran is one of the most recognizable artists of this generation as his songs were able to garner awards, top the charts, and sold copies. However, it seems like not everyone is a fan of his music, including the legendary Rod Stewart.

The icon recently spoke with The Times for an interview where he revealed some of the best young artists whose songs would stand the test of time.

"You mean like 'Maggie May'? Songs that will be played in 50 years?... I like whatshisname. Oh f****** great, Rod. Well done. He's British, really talented and his songs will be around."

The interviewer then opened up that it might be Ed Sheeran's name that he forgot, in which he replied, "No, not Ed, I don't know any of his songs, old ginger bollocks."

Later on, Stewart finally remembered the name that he was referring to and it was George Ezra, popularly known for his hit track "Barcelona."

"Yes! I think he writes really tremendous songs... He'll be around for quite a while," he added. (via Billboard)
