Madonna looked back at the time she struggled to walk following her near-death experience.

The highly-anticipated "The Celebration Tour" faced delays after the headliner suffered from a bacterial infection that led to an induced coma. While she has since returned to the stage, Madonna opened up about the other health issues she suffered from.

Madonna Struggled To Walk After Her Health Scare

On Monday, March 4, Madonna marked her "Celebration Tour" stop at Kia Forum in Los Angeles during which she recalled the time she survived the bacterial infection.

"I would call in every other day and ask [my doctor] why I didn't have any energy, when was my energy going to come back, when was I going to feel myself again, when can I go on tour again?" she said, per OK! Magazine, as she grew impatient for her recovery.

She continued, "It was so hard for me to walk from my house to the backyard and sit in the sun. I know that sounds insane, but it was difficult, and I didn't know when I could get up again, when I could be myself again, and when I'd have my energy back."

After the health scare, Madonna reportedly learned her lesson: how to let go.

Madonna took her time to express her gratitude to everyone who took care of her and stayed with her despite her "endless complaining."

Her hospitalization occurred in June 2023, leading to the postponement of her world tour. She was reportedly intubated at the time and was put in a medically induced coma.

Madonna Suffers a Fall

Madonna returned stronger to the stage after surviving the health issue. However, she sparked new concerns when she fell on stage after her dancer lost control during a performance at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle.

The incident happened while performing "Open Your Heart," where she needed to use a chair for the choreography. However, a running dancer dragged the chair to the other side and slipped before bringing Madonna down.

Her fans applauded her for being professional when she continued her performance after the blunder.

Madonna has made several headlines since she began touring again. She surprised her fans by bringing Julia Garner in December and her three kids during the same New York City show.
