Lollapalooza unveiled its headliners and performers for its 2024 edition in Chicago on Wednesday (March 20), but not everyone is happy with the list. Fans of Kesha think she deserves a better spot in the lineup.

The annual event released the official poster that includes this year's lineup. Headliners include Tyler, the Creator, SZA, Blink-182, The Killers, Future X Metro Boomin, Melanie Martinez, Hozier, Stray Kids, and Skrillex.

There are a lot more performers included on the list, like Kesha, but fans took to social media to express their disappointment that despite being an icon in the pop music scene, the event didn't make her one of the headliners.

Lollapalooza Gets Called Out For Not Making Kesha a Headliner

Posting on X, one fan shared side-by-side photos of Kesha's chart history along with the event's poster. The user said the singer has more top-10 hits than all the artists above her name combined, excluding the headliners.

"Kesha shouldn't even be in small letters imo," one wrote, while another added, "How is she not headlining wtf."

One user referenced Kesha's major hit, "TiKToK," saying it was a massive song compared to anything that anyone else in the lineup has ever released.

"The way tiktok is a bigger song than anything anyone (including headliners) has ever released," they wrote.

Not everyone defended the musician, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert. Some believed that she wasn't a headliner because she hasn't been in the top 10 charts since 2013 and doesn't have a big fanbase.

"I'm not disagreeing with you but that doesn't mean she should headline. She's not in demand over SZA or let alone Renee rapp," one added.

As of this writing, neither Kesha, nor the organizers of Lollapalooza have responded to the controversy.
