Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox were among the most controversial couples in Hollywood due to some unorthodox practices they engaged in while together.

The Jennifer's Body star defended drinking the rapper's blood, and vice versa while on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast: "I don't know why it started. There was just that one time I said I drink blood ritualistically, and then everybody was like, 'Wow, she's into Satanic rituals.' But that was a very misunderstood thing."

According to Hip-Hop DX, the "Emo Girl" rapper and Fox went viral after they admitted to drinking each other's blood, and netizens accused them of performing Satanic rituals or being part of the secret organization, the Illuminati.

"I guess one of the ones that's very persistent is that I'm Satanic, or do Satanic rituals, or maybe adjacent to Illuminati, or something in that vein," she continued.

Fox first mentioned drinking blood when she announced her engagment to the musician in a January 2022 Instagram post. "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him," she wrote. "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes ... and then we drank each other's blood."

When questioned at the time by Glamour UK about the unusual confession, she laughed it off. "I guess to drink each other's blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we're like Game of Thrones, drinking each other's blood," Fox explained. "It's just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other's blood on occasion for ritual purposes only."

During her most recent interview, Fox likened the action to boys "cutting their fingers and be blood brothers," like a blood pact. She also defended their actions by noting that there is nothing wrong with drinking her "soul mate's" blood.

Megan Fox Comments on Machine Gun Kelly Breakup

For months, fans wondered whether MGK and Fox had broken up, and during a recent appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, the Transformers actress finally set the record straight: "I think that what I've learned from being in this relationship is that it's not for public consumption."

"I think, as of now, I don't have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se. What I can say is [he] is what I refer to as being my 'twin soul' and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what."

Fox also added that despite their breakup, she still feels deeply connected to the "Bad Things" rapper but did not wish to elaborate.

Megan Fox Releases 'Pretty Boys Are Poisonous'

While MGK refused to release any official statements about their breakup, the actress has hinted several times about it.

She released a book of poems, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, in November 2023, and some seem as though they could be about her ex-fiance.

"These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," she said of the collection. "I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins. My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."
