Although Lizzo has not revealed what she decided to "quit" after her recent cryptic social media post, it does not seem to be her Yitty shapewear line.

The "Good As Hell" singer has released a new collection of body-inclusive swimwear through her Yitty clothing brand. Lizzo says she has been working on the drop over the past two years with her team. Labeled as "The Evolution of Swimwear," the collection is water friendly, meant for all body sizes to feel comfortable while in the water.

The release confirms that the GRAMMY-winner is still hard at work on her successful line of shapewear, which also offers athletic clothing, undergarments, and more. The newly-unveiled collection adds further confusion to her unexpected statement on Friday about quitting.

"I'm getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the Internet," the "About Damn Time" singer wrote on Instagram. "All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I'm starting to feel like the world doesn't want me in it."

The announcement comes a few months after she was accused of sexual harassment by three of her former background dancers. Following the lawsuit, several of her former colleagues and associates spoke out to attest to allegedly toxic behavior and experiences behind-the-scenes with the singer.

Friday's Instagram statement continued: "I'm constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views... being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look... my character being picked apart by people who don't know me and disrespecting my name. I didn't sign up for this s--. I QUIT."

Lizzo did not specify what, exactly, she was quitting, whether it be making music or just keeping up with the general expectations and reality of being a pop star. She has not released any solo music since 2022, but the singer did make a public appearance at the GRAMMYs earlier this year. Serving as a presenter, her unannounced arrival at the ceremony was the first time she had taken part in a public, televised event since the lawsuit had been revealed.

It is unclear what exactly triggered Lizzo to "quit," after a recent update on Instagram revealed that she is beginning to feel ready to re-enter the public eye after months of laying low. In March, she posted that she is writing "some of the best music" of her career.

"I'm almost ready to be a normal human again... to be outside.. to love and trust people.. to try and make new friends... to go on live... to sing and talk about my pain and joy... just give me a lil more time. Thank u for the patience and to the ones who unfollowed thank u too cus now I know where we stand," the post stated.

While the release of new music is currently under wraps, the YITTY swimwear collection is now available on the brand's website.
