In a recent social media incident, Usher's son, Naviyd, has made headlines for using his father's phone to reach out to his favorite artist, PinkPantheress.

The young boy reportedly took advantage of his father's social media account to send a message to the artist, showing his admiration and support for her work.

While it's not uncommon for fans to use social media to connect with their favorite artists, Naviyd's actions have caught the attention of many due to his famous father's involvement in the incident.

Usher's Son DMed PinkPantheress

On Instagram, as reported by Pop Crave, Usher shared the interaction he had with PinkPantheress on the platform's DMs.

However, upon further inspection, it could be seen that Usher's son Naviyd used the account and not the Grammy-winning artist.

Naviyd used his father's account to post a song of PinkPantheress' on his Instagram account, tagging the young artist. He then immediately messaged the singer, identifying who he is, and asking her to follow him back on his own account.

Confessing as her "true biggest fan," Nayvid successfully got an answer back from her, laughing and saying that, "this is wild."

Shocked that she responded, Naviyd sent more messages using his father's account.

"OMG I DIDNT THING U WERE GONNA SNWER," he said, before adding, "thank you for liking my post."

After the two messages, the real Usher seemed to have caught a whiff of the conversation and apologized for his son's behavior.

Usher's Son Meets PinkPantheress

PinkPantheress answered back, telling Usher not to apologize, even graciously offering them to host on her next show.

Usher captioned the adorable interaction on his Instagram account, saying: "U can clearly see where I apologized for my son's excitement But still @pinkpantheress was so sweet to invite us to her show..."

According to Billboard, Usher further messaged that Naviyd would be on her show in Nashville.

"I had to send him considering his level of dedication and creativity ... to figure out getting your attention through stealing my phone ... that's commitment. Hopefully you guys get to link," the "My Boo" singer said.

True enough, the two met on PinkPantheress' Capable of Love Tour and hung out with each other backstage. In one of the photos that Naviyd posted on Instagram, PinkPantheress even got to facetime with Usher.

In another set of Instagram Stories of Usher, he had a little introspection about his son's behavior.

"Parental Takeaway. This was a great moment for Naviyd ... this was him movin on something he was passionate about. Yes... He violated my trust and for that I will never trust him around my phone, but I should have known better. Nonetheless, I appreciate the hustle and him makin it happen," he wrote.
