Katy Perry is now a prankster.
She has been teasing her fans about the upcoming release of her new album and she made sure everyone will be looking at her new hairstyle in American Idol by "cutting" it very short.
After some fans expressed that they didn't like Perry getting her hair cut short again, the singer revealed that she's been pranking them all along.

In a video she shared on April 29, 2024, Perry asked her followers and fans' thoughts, comments, and concerns as her stylist cut her hair, showing a huge transformation from her long black hair to a beautiful bob hairstyle.
Fans did not shy away in expressing their thoughts though, frowning over Perry's new hairdo.
"You really can't control yourself can you? Someone needs to keep the scissors away from your head. We don't want Witness 2.0," a user said on Instagram.
"don't get carried away girl," one advised.
"THOUGHT WE LEARNED OUR LESSON," another said.
KatyCats are expressing their concern over Perry's haircut because the last time she cut her hair short was when she released Witness in 2017. While the album was a certified commercial success, some fans couldn't help but compare it with her stronger albums like Teenage Dream and Prism, and the album received mixed reactions from critics.

In a follow-up Instagram post, Perry then surprised her fans with a shocking revelation.
"You guys had a lot of strong feelings about my haircut," she told her KatyCats, which she now refers to as KatyRats. "Let's save that energy for KP6, because this is just a wig."
Fans were elated with her new announcement, while some were saying that no matter what her hairstyle is, they would keep on supporting her.
Talking about her new music soon, Perry revealed to Fox News Digital that the songs for KP6 are "going to be reflective" of "love and joy," referring to how calm her present life is being in a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom and sharing their child, Daisy.
