Andy Cohen has come clean about his ongoing relationship with John Mayer.

In an interview published by The Hollywood Reporter, writer Maer Roshan commented, "Your friendship with Mayer has been a subject of intense speculation. People seem dubious that a straight rock star can have a close platonic relationship with a gay TV personality."

Cohen responded, "Let them speculate! I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me."

Then the Bravo star clarified his relationship with the "Waiting on the World to Change" singer/songwriter. "But because we're so affectionate toward each other, people don't know what box to put that in. They assume we're sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not."

Mayer was on hand when Cohen was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2022.

"When he inducted me into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, John Mayer said that I unwittingly have become a gay best friend to people who never had a gay best friend," Cohen recalled. "That really moved me."

In his speech at the ceremony, Mayer said, "I love Andy more than I can tell you. He's a brilliant human being, a hilarious cohort, a loving son and brother - and more recently he's become a proud, engaged and deeply devoted father."

A photo from the event featured Mayer standing behind Cohen with his hands placed around his waist.

During a June 2023 appearance on Sirius XM's Howard Stern Show, Cohen was asked about the pair's relationship and he had a similar response.

"I am in love with John Mayer," he said. "We are in love with each other." But he later swore on his children that he and the "Daughters" singer-songwriter haven't engaged in sexual activity.
