Britney Spears may be calling Las Vegas home for quite a while longer. New reports are suggesting that the "Perfume" singer could be extending her Planet Hollywood Britney: Piece of Me residency for another two years.
According to The Las Vegas Sun, Spears' show has been such a great success for Caesars Entertainment that the company is looking to keep the pop star at their venue until 2017. Rumors suggest that the contracts for the show extension are "close to signed contract status."
Spears has been a consistent performer and ticket seller for Planet Hollywood's AXIS auditorium, selling out shows night after night. As Celine Dion takes a break from Vegas and her music career to care for her ailing husband Rene Angelil, Spears' show has become the most successful concert on the Vegas Strip.
Despite the high sales, Spears' show has gotten mixed reviews from critics, with lip syncing rumors largely keeping the star from consistently good reviews. She's been caught miming Sia's vocals on "Perfume" and lip syncing to a mash up of "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me."
Spears is currently on a slight break from her Piece of Me shows, as she goes on a short tour of Europe and promotes her new lingerie line, The Intimate Collection by Britney Spears. She will return to Vegas on Oct. 3.
