Normally, when you want to see renowned singers Gwen Stefani or Blake Shelton perform, you expect to hear them singing live... but not this time. Last night (Sept. 17),  Jimmy Fallon reinstated his always-epic lip sync battle last night on The Tonight Show, and the upcoming coaches on The Voice made things as funny as ever, imitating the likes of Lionel Richie, Taco and Ellie Goulding alongside the late night talk show.

Out of the gates, it seemed as though Shelton was going to have a little bit of a problem with his first round of lip syncing, as the "Neon Light" singer couldn't form a full sentence and was carrying a glass of champagne... but it was all a part of the act. Soon, he whipped out his take on the 1980s classic "Putting On The Ritz," completed with the classy glass of bubbly and a rather impressive tap dance.

Fallon had a lot to live up to and more or less held his own with a spacey rendition of Ellie Goulding's "Burn." His chosen prop was a variety of wide camera angles and a flashlight to imitate fire, and it worked out well enough.

And then the always engaging performer Stefani took the unplugged microphone into her hands, giving a high energy rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe." She was unable to take the full Stefani out of it, winding around the stage like the No Doubt frontwoman that she is and pulling out some of her signature moves.

Round two was only apt to get more intense, with Shelton kicking things off with Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," complete with a country snare. Fallon proved that he is, in fact, the comedian of the group by taking on a sound effects riddled song "Cocktails for Two," all while doing funny faces and voices to compliment his lip sync performance.

And, then, the grand finale of Lionel Richie and Diana Ross' duet "Endless Love." It's a performance that needs to be seen to believed, really.
