It seems kind of obvious that Sharon Osbourne must have a really wild streak in there somewhere in order to have attracted Ozzy Osbourne, right? Well it's 'Secrets Week' over on The Talk and when it was time for Sharon to over up something deeply buried she gave up a secret that she claims even her children didn't know (until this moment). When she and Ozzy were first dating she decided to prove her love for him by slitting her wrist!
Before telling the story Sharon carefully told the audience that it was a life lesson saying, "I never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to have done such a thing for myself. I learned a great lesson from this." Apparently while on tour the couple had gone back to the hotel to party and Ozzy wasn't so sure that Sharon loved him and she informed him that she would die for him. The rocker jokingly told him to prove it and so she grabbed a dirty steak knife from their room service cart and slit her left wrist in a few places.
Reality set in pretty quickly for Sharon Osbourne when she couldn't stop the bleeding and ended up in the hospital. That's when the real problem began because it looked to doctors' like a pretty clear cut suicide attempt. Because she and Ozzy were not yet married he had no say over her medical care and so she ended up on lock down in a psych ward until her team of doctor's believed that she wouldn't harm herself.
None of her co-stars on The Talk seemed all that surprised by Sharon's confession, are you? She chalked it up to a night of drunken fun that turned very sobering once she couldn't stop the bleeding from her slit wrist!
