Jessie J's new album Sweet Talker is just two weeks away, but she's slowing things down and getting a little bit "Personal" on a new song. Today (Sept. 30), J dropped the revealing power ballad "Personal."
Unlike the previously released Sweet Talker tracks "Bang Bang" and "Burnin' Up," "Personal" eschews raw, sexual energy and innuendos for vulnerability, both to a significant others and those around her.
It's all about trying to convince yourself that you don't love someone, even if you do. And J oozes the pain in her voice, absolutely dripping with emotion and powerful, blasting vocals.
"Ain't got a shotglass in my fist / To spill it away on my business / Telling these strangers about you / I'm getting too, I'm getting too, I'm getting too / Personal, getting too personal / I'm getting too personal, personal / Personal with you," she sings in the raw chorus.

"Personal" is an album track from J's upcoming LP Sweet Talker and is available now to download for those who pre-ordered the album. Despite its early release, "Personal" does not seem to be a single. J's album is currently being led by "Bang Bang" and "Burnin' Up."
Jessie J's new album Sweet Talker will be released on Oct. 14.
