'K-Pop Demon Hunters' Vocalist EJAE Drops New Song 'Time After Time' After Historic Grammy Win

"K-Pop Demon Hunters" vocalist EJAE releases new single “Time After Time” following her historic Grammy win for “Golden,” highlighting her rising global impact as singer-songwriter.

"K-Pop Demon Hunters" vocalist and songwriter EJAE has released a new solo single titled "Time After Time," her first song since making Grammy history with the hit track "Golden" from the Netflix film soundtrack.

The new single dropped only days after "Golden" from the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media, marking the first time a K-pop song has received a Grammy in this category.

The emotional pop track "Time After Time" is described as a heartbreak anthem that follows the story of someone trying to move on from a past relationship but finding their thoughts returning to the same person again and again. EJAE said the melody stayed with her for years, similar to the lingering feelings that inspired the song, according to Rolling Stone.

"Golden," performed by EJAE as part of the fictional girl group HUNTR/X in "K-Pop Demon Hunters," has become a global success story and opened the door for her latest solo work.

The song not only won at the 2026 Grammy Awards but also previously earned a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award, and it is currently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

The film itself, streamed on Netflix, follows the members of HUNTR/X as they use their music to fight demons, helping to bring K-pop and Korean American talent to an even wider audience, allkpop reported.

In interviews about her recent achievements, EJAE has described the Grammy win as a historic moment for both herself as a Korean American artist and for K-pop as a genre. She called the recognition "unbelievable" and noted that the song represents Korea on the global stage.

Online, fans have also highlighted the milestone, pointing out that "Golden" is widely regarded as the first K-pop song to win a Grammy and praising EJAE's role as both singer and songwriter.

With "Time After Time," EJAE is now stepping further into the spotlight as a solo artist after years of working behind the scenes as a songwriter for major K-pop groups and projects, as per Billboard.
