Last night at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, Justin Timberlake won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for his achievements as an artist in the musical and visual media. To celebrate his lifetime award, Timberlake gave a stellar 15-minute, career-spanning performance at the VMAs, starting with his latest single "Take Back The Night" and working through all his solo singles, including "SexyBack," "Love You Like I Love You," "My Love," "Cry Me A River," "Senorita" and more.

Soon after it was announced that Timberlake would perform such a medley at the VMAs, rumors of an 'NSYNC reunion hit the web hard, with hopeful fans putting together puzzle pieces that they hoped led to the "Pop" group getting back together, if only for a night.

'NSYNC fans' dreams came true last night then, in a moment that wasn't a huge surprise but was a huge success. Near the middle of Timberlake's medley, flashes of light hit the stage with four extra bodies, and it was 'NSYNC.

After Timberlake said, "You asked for it" twice, 'NSYNC rocked through two of their biggest singles, "Girlfriend" and "Bye Bye Bye." The key-changed post-chorus of "Girlfriend" is what 'NSYNC began with, highlighting Timberlake's powerful (now more matured) vocals. JC Chasez also got his turn at the song's solo, while members Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick harmonized for backing vocals.

Soon after, 'NSYNC launched into the original choreography of "Bye Bye Bye," while audience members such as Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga lost their minds with excitement and danced along. The vocal harmonies on "Bye Bye Bye" sounded as good as ever, though they were particularly sweet after not being sung live for over 10 years.

As soon as it began, though, the 'NSYNC reunion was over, clocking in at less than two minutes. However, fans can relive the moment again and again. Watch the 'NSYNC portion from Timberlake's medley below.
