Neil Young's collection of orchestral tracks, Storytone, has officially been set for a Nov. 4 release. The artist also shared the album's artwork and tracklist recently.

Storytone is Young's 35th album of original material and, in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the ageing rocker revealed that the record will be released as two separate versions. The first will be Young doing each song acoustically, but for a classier listening experience, there will also be a take of the singer performing with an orchestra. The latter won't be overdubbed, featuring Young singing in the same room as the band. "It's the most different thing I've ever attempted," he told RS.

According to co-producer Michael Bearden, much of the material on the album was inspired by recent personal experiences. Bearden doesn't explicitly cite Young's divorce from his wife of 36 years, Pegi, which took place in August, however. The "Old Man" singer was spotted with actress Daryl Hannah shortly after the split.

"Apparently a lot of these recent personal experiences went into these songs. It's a big ball of vulnerability, and that's what I love about it," Bearden said.

Last month, Young shared the track two pro-environment anthem "Who's Gonna Stand Up?" to show support for protesters at the People's Climate March.

Young revealed his plans for Storeytone back in March to Billboard. "I want to do something like that where we really record what happened, with one point of view and the musicians moved closer and farther away, the way it was done in the past," he said about recording with an orchestra. "To me that's a challenge and it's a sound that's unbelievable, and you can't get it any other way. So I'm into doing that."
