Ariana Grande may be facing a lot of diva rumors these days... but according to her "Bang Bang" collaborator Jessie J, the pint-sized "Love Me Harder" singer is anything but a rude lady... she's just very passionate about her art.

In a new interview with US Weekly, the "Burnin' Up" singer opened up about Grande and how being in-demand and in control can be misconstrued for a diva.

"I always say, judge a person when you meet them. I've met Ariana, and there's a very thin line between 'diva' and 'survival.' And a lot of people can't [differentiate that] -- and I've had that. I've had the diva stuff," J said. "And it's when people can't cope with how passionate you are and how much you care."

J then went on to further gush about Grande, emphasizing her talent and youth as major points for her accolades. "She's super talented, she's very young, and she's very sure of what she wants," she said. "I think she's wonderful. She's great."

J's dismissal of Grande's diva rumors follow a bumpy few months in the press for Grande. Since the release of her sophomore album, My Everything, Grande has been accused of diva-like behavior. Grande has reportedly dissed her fans in an elevator, ducked out of a contest meet-and-greet early and refused to be photographed from her right side or asked about Mariah Carey or Justin Bieber.

On her own part, Grande has denied the majority of these claims on Twitter.

J's defense of Grande stems from the pop stars' work together (with Nicki Minaj) on the smash single "Bang Bang." "Bang Bang" is the lead single from J's new album Sweet Talker, which hits stories in the U.S. on Oct. 14.
