Kendrick Lamar is looking to dance all of his problems away and heal his neighborhood in the process. Today (Nov. 4), Lamar released the music video for his Isley Brothers sampling new single "i," featuring a gathering crowd and plenty of boogeying through the streets up to a rooftop.

The music video begins with Lamar in a pretty desolate looking nightclub. Looking relaxed, K Dot dismissed those around him and, as soon as the beat to his track kicks in, gets up off his chair and begins to flail his arms and dance wildly.

Lamar shimmies his way out of the club and into the streets of his Compton, California, hometown, gathering a crowd with him as he gallivants down the street. Lamar seems to be spreading positivity with him as he goes. In one of the video's most poignant and harrowing scenes, Lamar's dancing is enough to pull away children from a domestic dispute and stop another man from shooting himself.

The Lamar happiness parade goes up to a rooftop, where the rapper and his revelers all dance freely together. Another scene also features Lamar venting his frustrations out of a backseat car window while speeding down the California freeway.

And then... maybe it's all just a dream? Lamar seems to snap out of his happy daydream, only to wake up to a woman playing with his hair back in the original club.

"I" is the first single from Lamar's forthcoming untitled sophomore album, which has yet to have its details revealed. The effort will be preceded by an upcoming performance by Lamar on Saturday Night Live.
