Weezer's most recent album, October's Everything Will Be Alright In The End, featured a slight return to the band's classic '90s sound, and "Go Away" was one of the standout tracks. A likely single candidate in the coming months, the cut is a duet between Rivers Cuomo and Bethany Consentino of Best Coast that spins a tale of infidelity and the resulting pain it brings to a relationship.

The Los Angeles group recently recorded a live version at the Sirius XM studios, but Consentino couldn't be there, so Lizzy Plapinger of MS MR filled in.

Consentino sat down for an interview with Elle last month, and dished on her forthcoming Best Coast record.

"We start working on it in November," Consentino said. "I'm writing for it right now. I'm now trying to just write a bunch of songs for when we go in to record it. I'm not exactly sure what direction we want to take it in. We want to make something different, but we don't want to move away from the sound that people have come to know us for. We'll see how it develops once we start recording. A lot of the songs I'm writing are a lot more upbeat-the last record was kind of a downer."

She discussed a myriad of other topics in the interview (she's a noted cat lover), and talked about her biggest music influences.

"I have always been really into Stevie Nicks," Consentino said. "She's always been my biggest role model and style icon. My mom was also really into her when I was younger, so she reminds me of my mom. Someone who is more modern that I admired is Hayley Williams [of Paramore]. She's a friend of mine, and she's such a cool girl. I'm actually going to see them tonight. She's really young and doing all these amazing things. She has this awesome style and is one of the sweetest girls I've ever met."

Here's the original version of "Go Away," featuring Consentino.
