Chance the Rapper has released a new song with his group The Social Experiment (comprised of Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, and Nate Fox) featuring vocals from Jamila Woods. Titled "Sunday Candy," the song is a taste of what fans can expect on their upcoming album Surf. Donnie Trumpet takes the lead on this one, and explained to The Fader the group's dynamic.

"We're working on all this music together, but this project in particular is a Donnie Trumpet project," Donnie, whose real name is Nico Segal, told them. "This song specifically is a great representation of [The Social Experiment's] collaborative efforts. It's my curation, but then bringing it to the table with all these beautiful people and including them in their own way. Jamila sang on that hook, then I brought it to the collective. Peter added some great layers of texture and helped produce, Nate added a bunch of drums, tons of our friends from Chicago played instruments and added their ideas."

The uplifting, gospel-inspired song explores the idea of waiting to see someone and enjoying the moment like you would a piece of candy.

"I got a future, so I'm singing for my grandma / You singing too, but your grandma ain't my grandma / Mine's is handmade, pan-fried, sun dried / Southside, and beat the devil by a landslide / Playin' with her hands tied, president of my fan club / Stand tall, something told me I should bring my butt to church," Chance sings and raps on the first verse.

Woods comes in on the hook singing, "You gotta move it slowly / Take it in my body like it's holy / I've been waiting for you the whole week / I've been praying for you, you're my Sunday candy."

The Social Experiment previously released the song "No Better Blues." Their album Surf is due out by the end of 2014.
