Earlier this year, Nas celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut album, Illmatic. To commemorate the occasion further, the Queens rapper's daughter decided to pay tribute to the album with a new lip gloss line.

Nas' daughter, Destiny Jones, decided to go with a name similar to "Illmatic." Appropriately named Lipmatic, Nas took to his Instagram account to announce the launch of the brand. He also expressed how proud he was of his daughter's entrepreneurial move, as noted by Vibe.

"It's so ILL to see @LipMatic launch. Scoop that up! Made for beautiful lips everywhere.... Created by my very own Princess Destiny. It's great to watch her plans unfold! #lipmatic," he wrote.

The lip gloss line features color names that also pay tribute to the Illmatic album, including "P.L.U.M. State of Mind," "Life's A Peach" and "Cherry Love." Lipmatic is available at Karmaloop now.

Nas also commemorated his 20th anniversary with his Time Is Illmatic documentary, which premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival. On Oct. 2, the documentary, which details the life and times of the rapper, screened across 40 theaters nationwide.

Nas jumped back into the documentary circuit recently, praising the artist coming out of Chicago.

In a documentary produced by Revolt TV, Nas commends rappers for the their role in fostering the conversation about the violence that has plagued Chicago for years, notably the South Side of Chicago. "Chicago is speaking where other people ain't talking [and] they're talking for themselves, giving us what's going on," he stated. "If it wasn't for the rap artists, the whole country would not know the state of emergency that's going on in the hood out there. So thank God we've got rappers from Chicago enlightening the whole world about what's happening, because nobody else wants to talk about it."

Last month, Nas hinted at the release of some new music during an interview with Power 105's Angie Martinez.
