In the caption to a video posted to his Instagram account yesterday, Dec. 10, Harlem rapper Cam'ron announced that his next studio album Purple Haze 2 will be his last. The video shows the 38-year-old rapper visiting the grave of his friend Huddy 6, who died in a car accident on the George Washington Bridge in 2010, with a caption mysteriously implying that Huddy spoke to him, saying that they have "other things to do." You can read the full caption below:

"Fresh off da flight.. To see my brother.. HUD 6 told me lastnite.. #AChangeGoneCome ..my last album.. #PurpleHaze2 this summer.. it's been fun.. But HUD said we got other things to do. #Hud6"

In an interview with MissInfo, Cam'ron somewhat clarified his statement, simply saying, "It's a wrap. Time to move on." When asked what he plans to do instead of music, Cam'ron replies that, "Movies and clothing are doing really well" for him, and that he also plans on "building a club in Vegas."

If Cam'ron's announcement is accurate, then his next studio album Purple Haze 2 is set for release at some point during summer 2015. It would be his first studio album since 2011's Gunz n' Butta with Vado, and his first solo studio album since 2009's Crime Pays. However, Cam'ron has been busy at work this year, releasing a series of EPs on the first day of every month since July, all appropriately titled 1st of the Month.

Don't count on this retirement announcement being true, though. Remember how The Black Album was supposed to be Jay Z's last album? That was six albums ago.
