Kelly Clarkson is now based in Nashville, and the "Since U Been Gone" singer has been recording for most of the year in the country-music hotbed.

According to CMT, via radio.com, Clarkson recently admitted that her seventh studio album might have a little bit of twang in it.

"There's all different kinds of genres on there," Clarkson said. "I'm obviously affected by the community I live in. So there's a little bit of everything."

Clarkson has done recent live duets with Trisha Yearwood ("Silent Night," "Prizefighter") and Reba McEntire ("Silent Night," "Because of You"), so it is not far-fetched to think that she has been influenced by some of Nashville's best.

In jest, she compared the new LP to an all-time U.K. classic.

"It's amazing, and you're gonna love it," she said. "Personally, you're gonna be like, 'This is right on up there with John Lennon's 'Imagine.' Guaran-d--n-tee it!"

The former American Idol winner used the word "uplifting" to describe the record's tone.

"I've always been a person about empowerment and doing empowering songs," she said. "There are empowering songs on the record, and there's a lot of positive on there. It's a great record. It's not John Lennon's 'Imagine.' That was sarcasm. But we can aim."

Clarkson recently hosted Miracle on Broadway, an event that raised $400,000 for various local charities via Clarkson's Fruition Fund. Yearwood and husband Garth Brooks accounted for half that sum.

"I basically guilted people into it," Clarkson said. "I've never asked an artist to do anything, except for sing with me, which a lot of people say no, and it hurts my feelings. So it was a very brave thing for me."
