Things are about to get a little lighter. Today (Nov. 18), Katy Perry has announced that she will be hitting the road in 2014. The "Unconditionally" singer took to her official Twitter account this morning to announce the Prismatic World Tour, which will kick off in Belfast, Ireland, in May 2014.
Perry first teased her world tour at the 2013 MTV EMAs. Upon winning Best Female, Perry told the massive Amsterdam crowd that she would be back in Europe soon to perform tracks from Prism and her greatest hits live. Before making the official announcement (and the official country kickoff), Perry further hinted about starting it all in Europe by saying she "love[s] these people and their accents."
Icona Pop will be the supporting act on the UK leg of the Prismatic World Tour. Next year is shaping out to be a busy one for the "I Love It" duo, who will also open on Miley Cyrus' Bangerz Tour in North America.

Tickets for the UK leg of the Prismatic Would Tour will go on sale Nov. 22. Fans in North America should not worry though, as Perry is expected to announce more global tour dates in the coming weeks.
