It's been a little more than six months since the release of Lana Del Rey's last album Ultraviolence, but in a new interview with Billboard, the 29-year-old singer-songwriter reveals that she already has nine songs written for her next album, which will be titled Honeymoon. "I'm looking for a few more songs to tie everything together," Del Rey says of the album. Out of the nine songs she has already, Del Rey says that "the production is perfect" on four of them.

Among the songs to be included on the album is a cover of Nina Simone's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." "I like summarizing the record with a jazz song," she says of her decision to include the song. "I'm having fun with my interpretation."

As to what Honeymoon will end up sounding like, Del Rey says that it's "very different" from Ultraviolence, but has more in common with her 2012 breakthrough Born To Die and its companion EP Paradise. "It's growing into something I really like," she says, "I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good."

Elsewhere in the interview, Del Rey also discusses her song "Big Eyes," which was written for the recent Tim Burton film of the same name and recently nominated for a Golden Globe. You can check out "Big Eyes" right here:

Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence single "West Coast" was chosen by the Music Times staff as one of the 25 best songs of 2014. You can check out that complete list right here.

Though Del Rey isn't currently on tour, she will be setting out on the "Endless Summer Tour" with Courtney Love in May. The tour kicks off on May 7 in The Woodlands, Texas, and finishes up on June 16 in West Palm Beach, Florida (Love will be joining her for the first eight dates of the tour).
