Kanye West began his 2015 making fans cry with the heartfelt collaboration with Paul McCartney that featured lyrics written in the perspective of West's deceased mother speaking to his daughter, North West. Starting the year off on that note, fans are hopeful for more new music from West, who has been relatively secretive and vague about new forthcoming projects. It was reported that West stopped by Def Jam headquarters last night in New York City to play some new music off of the album.

While there has been no released (or unreleased, leaked) music to confirm that West's meeting was in regards to new material, photos were taken of West and his wife, Kim Kardashian, leaving the studio's building.

West has been working on a new solo album, which will be his seventh release, and fan forums are hinting that the new music the artist is working on is to be reflective of past releases, such as Yeezus and 808s and Heartbreak. There is also discussion regarding whether or not Drake and The Weeknd are on the album.

In West's latest interview with GQ, he spoke about his struggle to commit to a release date. He told the magazine, "I think most likely September. I go back and forth. Like, should it be September or should it be October? Should it be November? When Beyoncé was working on her last album, she took a while. I was thinking it could somehow come out in June, like Yeezus, and just kill it for the summer. But then I'm like, 'I have to work on adidas and be with my child.'"

Hopefully the new album will include more collaborations between West and McCartney, as well as a handful of other guest features as well.
