Nothing is official, as per usual, but it looks like Katy Perry and John Mayer are back together. The couple went to dinner at the Tower Bar in Hollywood Thursday (Jan. 8) and a source told the New York Post's Page Six that the superstars looked like they were on a date. Rumors of the rekindled romance surfaced at the beginning of the month after Mayer and Perry were spotted for the first time since their split in February 2014.

"Katy Perry and John Mayer walked in together, arm in arm, and the whole room literally fell silent," an insider told Page Six. "Even Dimitri Dimitrov — Hollywood's most famous maitre d', who has seen everything — and Sunset Tower owner Jeff Klein both stopped mid-sentence when John and Katy arrived, as if they wanted to announce to everyone in Hollywood they are back together."

The Tower Bar was reportedly a favorite spot for the couple when they were together previously.

Perry and Mayer started dating in 2012 following the diva's divorce from Russell Brand. Perry talked about her split from the guitarist in the July issue of Cosmopolitan.

"I know it sounds really hippie-sh-t, but I'm living in the now and not fantasizing about the future or [being] torn up about the past," she said. "I'm super Eckhart Tolle. I have a lot of respect for [John] still, and I know it goes both ways. There's no bad blood, but I'm sure there will be inspired songs."

Mayer shared some thoughts shortly after the break-up in 2013.

"Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during and it's a private relationship, still. I can understand asking the question. I'm on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing," he told Ellen DeGeneres.
