Congratulations go out to Snoop Dogg and his family, who recently welcomed a new member into the clan. Snoop's oldest son Corde Broadus became a father yesterday, Jan. 14, to son Zion. The new grandpa missed the birth, but he shared photos of the newborn on Instagram to help welcome the newest Broadus, XXL notes.

"Zion. U have a lot of love waitin on u grandson!!" Snoop wrote.

In other Broadus family news, Snoop's ESPN reality show Snoop & Son: A Dad's Dream premiered yesterday on the sports network. The five-part series follows Snoop and his youngest son Cordell during the latter's senior year of high school football. Cordell is a highly sought-after college recruit at the wide receiver position. The show will also highlight the recruiting process.

"I'm more of a friend than I am a father because a father to me is someone disciplinary, who you're really scared of. There's fear and respect. It's more of just love with me," Snoop said in a trailer for the show.

Snoop recently announced that his upcoming album, a collaboration with Pharrell titled Bush, is due out in March. The release will also include guest spots by Charlie Wilson and Stevie Wonder.

"It's a great record me and Pharrell did from top to bottom. It feels good and I'm happy to be back in the studio working with one of my favorite producers and homeboys," Snoop said. "It's different — it's completely different than anything we've ever done. It feels good, sounds good, looks good."

Pharrell spoke to Power 105 over the summer to talk up the album.

"Snoop's album is better than mine," he said. "You're gonna bug out from the approach of what we did. If I say the references, I'll just give it away. I'm so proud of Snoop. It's so jammin' ... It's one of those things where it's so obvious ... But it feels so good."
