If you were one of the few people who tuned in to watch LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian's reality show on VH1 last summer, then you probably thought it was a serious hot mess. The couple had originally wanted to use the show as a vehicle to prove that they are a great couple that belongs together. Instead, they wasted too much time taking shots at Cibrian's ex Brandi Glanville and making fun of the press that has made them relevant in the first place. After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that eight episodes of LeAnn & Eddie was more than enough for the network and a second season is not happening.

According to a report by People magazine:

"LeAnn Rimes may be singing the blues about reality star dreams. Her VH1 reality show with husband Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn & Eddie, was canceled after an eight-episode season."

The singer, 32, and her actor husband, 41, hoped to use the show partly to dispel public fallacies about their marriage.

"The biggest global misconception would be that we're not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship," Rimes told People in July. "But people just don't get it. Hopefully, people will get a chance to see how we just click."

The couple, who famously met while they were both married to other people — she to chef Dean Sheremet, he to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville — wed in 2011. VH1 had no comment on the cancellation.

Can anyone really blame VH1 for cancelling this show? Not only did they shell out to send the couple and both sides of their family on a tropical vacation, but they also moved them into a bigger and better house just for the sake of filming. Cutting their losses and this reality show was kind of a no-brainer, don't you think?
