Marshawn Lynch has grabbed his crotch on national television more often than he has granted one-on-one interviews in the past month, and the ratio isn't close.

The mysterious Seattle Seahawks running back has long had a penchant for blowing off reporters, but the practice became too expensive for him this year ($200,000 in fines will change a dude's mind) and he began giving repetitive, one-word answers.

All of the angst associated with this experience led him to act out with a stupendous and possibly cathartic crotch grab against the Arizona Cardinals in December, and then another one against the Green Bay Packers last weekend.

Both of those actions resulted in fines from the league, which Lynch accepted with no complaints. But when his teammate, Chris Matthews, was fined roughly $11,000 this week (via PFT), Lynch decided to let out his anger in a tweet:

USA Today's Tom Pelissero reports that the fine was not for the handshake, as Lynch attests, but rather for Matthews' own crotch-grabbing motion after the touchdown:

The crotch-grabbing Seahawks are flying well under the radar compared to their Super Bowl opponent, the New England Patriots. Head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady have been under fire over the past week thanks to #DeflateGate, which you can read more about here.

It's safe to say the buildup for the Feb. 1 game will not lack for drama, as both sides have become headline mongers against their wills. Here's to more obscene gestures and deflated balls when the 'Hawks and Pats kick off next weekend.
