Chance the Rapper's upcoming album with his band The Social Experiment, titled Surf, was slated for release in 2014, though it never ended up coming out. Save for a censored tracklist posted to Instagram and an interview with Billboard three months ago, the Chicago rapper has remained mostly silent about the new project. Thankfully more information has now surfaced in the form of a teaser video starring supermodel Cara Delevingne.

The clip opens and Delevingne dressed in a vintage blue dress holding a newspaper. A woman dressed in black approaches her and whispers something in her ear. Delevigne's face then turns distraught. She gets upset about what she has just heard then shakes it off, puts on a smile and walks onto the stage and into the light. Trumpets are playing in the background throughout.

"This is scoring," Chance tweeted about the teaser. "It's called a Silent Film. You have to rely on music and expression acting. Nothing Came To Me."

In his Billboard interview, Chance hammered home the idea that he is part of a band (The Social Experiment) and that it isn't the "Chance the Rapper Show."

"[Surf is] the first Social Experiment project," he told them. "It's a big step for all of us all putting our heads together and letting Nico [Segal, a.k.a Donnie Trumpet] hold the reigns and carry it. There's a lot of great instrumentation. A lot of input from cool writers. I'm already saying too much."

Interestingly, the title of the Surf teaser says "Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment" rather than "Chance the Rapper & the Social Experiment." So it appears Segal really is "carrying it."

While you await Surf, you can also look out for Chance to appear on Madonna's upcoming album Rebel Heart. He and Mike Tyson are featured on the song "Iconic."
