While Bruce Jenner's transformation into a women has been a year in the making, it still has shocked some of his most loyal fans. It was one thing to hear all of the rumors and innuendo about Jenner's lifestyle, but totally different to have it actually confirmed. Somehow the sex change topic became a serious dialogue, one that the reality star thinks will be best handled if he does it himself, via a docu-series. Not everyone thinks that Jenner is going about things the right way though.

According to a report by TMZ, many in the transgender community are questioning the Olympic champion's real motives. Rather than dragging everything out and waiting to comment on what has become extremely obvious, Jenner could just issue a detailed statement or air a real interview long before his planned series airs in May. Sources seem to believe that his transformation and all of the issues that come along with it are truly about civil rights rather than scandalous reality television.

If Jenner wants to become a role model for transgender issues then sensationalizing things isn't going to help. Cashing in on it and getting a nice paycheck from E! to tell his story isn't going to gain him any extra respect from the community that Jenner wants to fit in to. Should he quit with the big build up and just lay it all on the table? Or do you think maybe making sure that all of the Kardashian and Jenner kids are OK first has perhaps played in to his not commenting yet?

Will you tune in to hear what Jenner has to say when he finally is ready? Supposedly his interview with Diane Sawyer is being filmed this weekend. Perhaps that will air much sooner than we had originally thought and then some of the mystery will be better understood!
